William Larson Obituary

William G. Larson (Bill) went to the “Happy Hunting Ground” on July 13, 2021 at the Kinzua Health Care in Warren PA.  Bill was born in Warren, PA on September 7, 1941, the son of the late Glenn and Bertha Betts Larson.

He attended schools in Lander, Clarendon, and Warren.  His employment started with Sammy and Joe in Clarendon, then on to the Sheffield Container, Deluxe Metal, and Rexnord from where he retired after 35 years of service.

On May 31, 1963 he married Barbara Danko.  They were married 48 years until her untimely death in 2011.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters Elizateth (John) Dorotics and Barbara (Gabriel) Hecei.  Bill will be sadly missed by his only child, his beloved and cherished Donna.  He is also survived by his sister Nancy and her husband Butch Illig of Edinboro along with many nephews, nieces and cousins.

He will be remembered for the wonderful pig roast parties for family and friends over the years – “down back” at the pavilion.  He will also be remembered for his skill as an accomplished hunter and fisherman.  He was a triple trophy winner getting a buck, bear, and a turkey in the same year.

Bill will be forever in the hearts of those who loved him as a faithful, kind, and extremely generous guy.  Everyone who had the opportunity to know him will miss him terribly.

Private services for William G. Larson will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

The Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield has been entrusted with the arrangements.  To leave an online condolence for Bill, please visit www.bordenfuneralhome.com. Memorial donations may be made to the Cherry Grove Fire Department, 6045 Cherry Grove Road, Clarendon, PA 16313.
