Tosh Lee Russell

Tosh Lee Russell, 42 of Kane, died unexpectedly Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born February 2, 1982, in Greensburg, PA to Robert M. “Skynard” & Lori K. Russell Leonard, who survive. Tosh was a resident of Kane since age 4. He was a class of 2000 graduate of Kane Area High School and attended DeVry University. He was employed at Milliron Construction & Landscaping.

He was an avid gardener/landscaper, having a green thumb since childhood. If he wasn’t cultivating plant life, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Ella Russell, his son, Ezra Russell and their mother, his longtime girlfriend, Janelle “Nell” Snyder; two brothers: Brody J. Russell (Jenny Powley) and Zacha B. “Skeeter” Leonard, both of Kane; two sisters: Lynn Phelps (Robert) of Corum, OK and Amy Leonard of Pittsburgh, PA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Sky “Bert” Leonard and Nickolas I. “Nick” Leonard; six cousins: Elijah “Eli” & Jacob “Jake” McCloskey, Roger “RJ”, Thomas “TJ”, Stuart, & Justin Johnson, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life is being held by the family Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 1-5pm in the lower level of the Kane Eagles Club, 238 Chase St, Kane, PA 16735.
