Thomas A Fritz

Thomas A. Fritz, 52 of Sheffield passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Warren General Hospital.  He was born on June 11, 1968 in Pottsville, PA the son of Albert Fritz and Sally Leininger Fritz. Thomas was a graduate of North Hills High School and later served in the U.S. Army.  Thomas also worked as a corrections officer for the State of Pennsylvania corrections system.  Most recently, he served at the Marienville corrections facility.

In his leisure time, Thomas thoroughly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and coaching youth football.  He was known as a great cook and always enjoyed a good cigar.

Thomas married the love of his life Heather Haines Fritz who survives in Sheffield.  Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons Tyler J of Marienville and Christopher H and wife Savannah of Tiona, and his daughter Brittany M. Garland and her partner Dakota Curry.  Thomas is further survived by his brother Todd Fritz of Gainesville, FL and sister Tricia Fritz of Pittsburgh, PA.  Lastly, he is survived by his grandchildren Lance, Gracelynn, Hayley, and Wyatt.

There will be private family services on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield officiated by Pastor Brian Hauser of Concord Presbyterian Church of Parker, PA.  Burial will be private. Condolences to the family may be made by visiting www.bordenfuneralhome.com.
