Shelley Lindsey Anders, 68, of North Royalton, OH, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, with her family by her side at Hospice of Medina County in Medina, OH.
Shelley was born in Warren, PA on April 8, 1956, to Shelton and June Lindsey. She grew up in Sheffield, PA and graduated from Sheffield High School in 1974.
Shelley worked numerous places throughout her adult life, but found a truly fulfilling career in customer service at Ace Liquor in Little Rock, AR. She was known for her welcoming smile, quick wit, and love of jokes. Shelley was passionate about knitting and crochet. Her knowledge of music, bands, and musical trivia was unmatched. She loved kitties, especially her two most recent cats, Tom and Prada. She loved watching cooking shows and recreating delicious dishes for family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Shelley is survived by one sister, Barbara S. Bullock of Sheffield, PA, and her loving husband of 20 years, Melvin R. Anders, originally from Marienville, PA. Between them they have five children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They are Jill Taranowski and husband Joshua and their children Asher, Xander, and Cedar from Aurora, OH; Elisa Miller and husband Eldon of Bedford PA; Michelle Herberger and husband David and son Dalton of St. Louis, MO; Lisa Anders of San Diego, CA; Ashlee Logan and husband Mike and their son Eric. Shelley’s additional grandchildren include Mailien and Jailien Anders of Wichita, KS; Brooke Ewertt and husband Steven and their children Sawyer and Lydia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Terrance L. Lindsey and George W. Lindsey.
As requested, there will be no memorial service. Shelley will be cremated and interred near her parents in Barnes Cemetery.
