Sandra Hale

Sandra Kay Hale, 71 of Bradford, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday evening November 12, 2023, at Sena Kean Manor in Smethport, PA.  She was born on December 24, 1951, in Olean, NY, the daughter of Walter Hale and Verneda (Nye) Hale.  She spent the first years of her life in Salamanca, NY, then moved to Bradford, PA where she resided the rest of her life.  She graduated from Bradford High School.  She worked at City Hall for many years as a secretary.  She bartended for years at the Italian Club and the Marquee Club.  She loved gardening.  She was an Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 108, the Vets Club, Mouse Lodge 124, and Eagles 2432 of Bradford.

Left behind to cherish Sandra’s memory are her sister Carol Hammerbeck of Sheffield, PA and her brother Walter Hale of Yorktown, VA as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her three-year-old son, Sammy Joe McWilliams, her parents, two brothers, Williams Nye and Clifford Nye, a sister, Jean Nye Miles and a nephew Damon Kayes. 

A celebration of life party will be held at the Marquee Club in Bradford, PA at a future date to be determined.  “Sandy’s Buying” The family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in Sandra’s memory to UPMC Cole, 1001 2nd St., Coudersport, PA 16915 or McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Avenue, Post Office Box 113, Bradford, PA  16701.
