Neil Camp Obituary

Neil Eugene Camp, 79, of Sheffield, passed away Thursday evening, September 17, 2020, at Lecom Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie.  He was born in Sheffield on July 4, 1941, to Dean Camp and Emma Elaine (Playford) Camp.  He attended Sheffield High school and obtained his diploma.  He was married to the former Ruth McCandless. He was formally employed at Delux Metal and retired as the supervisor of maintence from a mobile home park in Port Orange , Florida.  In Neils younger years his passion was bowling, after retirement he enjoyed watching game shows, the news, but always looked forward to any kind of sports games.  He was well known for raising Gladolias as he would plant hundreds of bulbs and he always would brighten someones day with a visit and a bunch of Glads.  He was of the Protesent Faith.  He was a member of the Vets Club of Sheffield, the Eagles Club of Warren as well as the American Legion of Warren.  Left  behind to cherish Neils memory are his sisters Linda (Doug) Paul of Warren, Carol (Bob) Smith of Sugar Grove, Deanna Brush of Sheffield and his brother James Camp of Florida.  Grandchildren Joshua Leichtenberger and Joni Camp.  Great Grandchildren, Braydn Camp, Carson Young, Alexa Whipple, Emily Leichtenberger, John Whipple, Madden Rothrauff, Jaxson Leichtenberge rand Paizlee Rothrauff.  He is further survived by his daughter in law Julie Arnold.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, his son Jamie Camp, a daughter Lori Leichtenberger, a brother Kenneth Camp and a granddaughter Jessica Camp.  Neils family will welcome family and friends on Wednesday , September 23, 2020,  from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield.  Public graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 24 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Barnes Cemetery (everyone please meet at the cemetery).  The Reverend Douglas Brink, Church Pastor of Sheffield United Methodist Church, will officiate.  To leave an online condolence for Neil Eugene Camp please go to  www.Borden FuneralHome.com
