Mary Ann Preston Obituary

Mary Ann Preston, 71 of Warren, formerly of Sheffield passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at AHN St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born on October 17, 1951, in Warren, the daughters of Ralph Cowan and Irene (Stanko) Cowan.  Mary Ann was a 1969 Graduate of Sheffield High School.  She was married to her late husband Lawrence Ebin Preston for 47 years.  Together Mary and Lawrence had four children: Cheryl Fiscus, Patty Kelly and husband Rich, Lori Bailey and husband Vince and Lawrence Preston Jr.  She enjoyed Bingo, crossword puzzles, gardening and going for long car rides to enjoy the scenery.  She could be found relaxing and enjoying reading a mystery novel. 

 

Left behind to cherish Mary’s memory are all her children, six grandchildren: Kayla (Doug), Kristen, Kyle (Chantelle), Michael, Alyssa, and Katie; five great grandchildren; brother Richard; sister Sandra; and many more who loved her.  Preceding Mary in death are both her parents, husband Lawrence and brother Edward.  Mary will be greatly missed as she left a memorable mark on anyone who crossed her path.

 

Mary Ann’s family will welcome family and friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6 P.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield.  Funeral Services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Ruth Ann Varrato officiating.  The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Foundation.
