Mary Ellen Odonish

Mary Ellen Odonish, 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 28, 2021 in Polk, Pa. She was born on August 16, 1942, the daughter of the late John Odonish and Martha (Mansfield) Odonish. Mary was Catholic by faith and pleasantly enjoyed attending mass. She enjoyed listening to music of all kinds and the different sounds of musical instruments. She loved the outdoors in the nice weather. She loved her fuzzy stuffed animals and the warmth and comfort they brought her. She was calmed by the twinkling lights that adorned her room. Mary was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing, loving, and caring for her. She held a special place in everyone’s heart, especially her family, and in Mary’s heart the feelings were mutual.

Left behind to cherish Mary’s memory are her siblings:  John and Marianne Odonish of Kane, Catherine and Mark (Bud) Elmquist, of Barnes, Judith Odonish of Warren, Nicholas and Lisa Odonish of Sheffield, and Robert and Theresa Odonish, also of Sheffield. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews. She is lastly survived by her extended family in Polk, Pa where she resided.

Private family visitation and blessing services will be held at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield. Father David Bosnich of St. Michael’s Catholic Church Byzantine Rite will preside.  Private burial will take place at St. Michael’s cemetery in Sheffield.
