Marvin Heeter Obituary

Marvin Lee Heeter, 88, of Saybrook Road, Sheffield passed away peacefully Monday evening, May 18, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side.  He was born on January 18, 1932 in Saybrook, the son of the late Raymond B. Heeter and Mae Young Heeter.  Marvin went on to serve his country in the United States Army (PFC) in Korea.  He was protestant by faith.  Marvin was formerly employed at Deluxe Metal in press operations.  He was a member of the Sheffield Vets Club and the Sheffield Rod and Gun Club.  Marvin had many talents and hobbies including hunting and a good game of horseshoes.  He was an avid bowler and enjoyed boating on the Kinzua Dam.  He was also a faithful Penn State fan.  Above all else, Marvin’s family came first.  He was behind his children and grandchildren one hundred percent.  He was most devoted in attending all their sports games, even sitting in freezing temperatures to cheer them on.  Left behind to cherish Marvin’s memory are his wife Barbara L. (Knapp) Heeter at home, three sons, Lee Heeter of Sheffield and Lee’s companion Donna Swartz of Beaver Falls, PA, Larry Heeter and wife Hazel of Sheffield, and Lonny Heeter and wife Kris also of Sheffield.  Marvin is further survived by six grandchildren:  Mark, Larry (M) and Crystal Heeter and Jacob, Noah, and Ezra Heeter and great grandchildren Braelyn Heeter, Addison Heeter, and Peyton Heeter.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Allfie Heeter and his sister Helen Gerarde.  Due to the state mandated restrictions of the Covid Virus, private family services will be held after Memorial Day with Lorretta Knapp of the Full Gospel Church of Warren officiating.  Burial will take place at the Warren County Memorial Park.  The Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield has been entrusted with the arrangements for Marvin L. Heeter. Memorial donations may be made to the Sheffield Area Ambulance Service, P.O. Box 491, Sheffield, PA 16347 or the Hospice of Warren County at 1 Main Avenue, Warren PA 16365.
