Margo P (Mulkin) Steffan, went into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on February 11, 2024, at 7:30 AM peacefully at home with family by her side. She was born Margo Patricia Mulkin, in Olean, New York on April 2, 1950. She resided in Shinglehouse, PA, with her parents moving to Warren, PA, in 1952. She moved to Sheffield, PA, in 1956 with her mother and brother, residing there her entire life. Margo was a graduate of Sheffield High School Class of 1968. She graduated from the International School of Beauty in 1969. While in beauty school she attended the International Hair Show in New York City with friends. There she modeled for L’Oreal of Paris. It was an experience she never forgot. Margo was a hairdresser in Warren County for 46 years. She operated her own salon in Sheffield, PA, retiring in 2016. On October 2, 2004, she married Michael Steffan, Jr. of Sheffield, PA. Together they had six children, Jason (Tracey) Morrison Sheffield, PA. Matthew (Micki) Steffan Kersey, PA. Trista Wilcox (Mark Snow) Warren, PA. Shawn Steffan, St. Mary’s, PA. Angela (Steffan) Zuzek (Leo Gibble) Kane, PA. Mark (Jane) Steffan Ludlow, PA, all surviving. She’s also survived by James (Julie)Steffan Sheffield, PA. Dave (Shelley) Steffan Sheffield, PA. Marlene (Scott) Austin St. Petersburg, PA. Suzanne Mulkin, Bartow, FL. Kerry (Kim) Mulkin (half-brother) Shinglehouse, PA. Tony Smead (foster-son) Marienville, PA. And 21 grandchildren to great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael C. Mulkin, Bartow, FL. and a brother-in-law, Scott E. Steffan, Warren, PA.
Her family was always first to her, enjoying backyard cookouts, tasting dishes put on by her sons, Jason, Shawn, and Matthew. Sunday football (Tom Brady) and the times quilting with the girls at the Methodist Church (Sewing with love). She enjoyed being on a trout stream, or fishing for red rum on Cape Hatteras with her husband, Mike. Nail day was a must with daughter Trista, especially when granddaughter Isis would come along. She is also a hairdresser. Margo was an avid Sheffield Wolverine football fan. She was a member of the Wolverine band in high school. She enjoyed attending grandchildren’s, high school sports activities, Amber- basketball, Meredith - volleyball, Alex and Christian - wrestling and football, Angelina - softball. She enjoyed it all. She was amazed by how son, Jason could tie flies and couldn’t wait for him to send pictures. She was interested in grandson, Joby’s streaming and YouTube sites and the talks with grandson, Fabian on guns, cars, and new recipes. Margo was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Bethany Lutheran Church of Sheffield, PA. She will sadly be missed by family and friends, especially her fur babies Mia, Mikey and Miles.
Margo’s family will welcome family & Friends on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Borden Funeral Home in Sheffield, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, a 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 110 Church St., Sheffield, PA with Pastor Randall Frenz presiding (Everyone please gather at the church). Committal and burial will follow at the Sheffield Cemetery.
