Linda Cataldo Obituary

Linda G. Theiss Cataldo, 77, of Gibsonia, PA and formerly of Sheffield and Youngsville, PA went to be with her Lord and Savior, January 22, 2023. Born April 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Florence Theiss.

Linda was known for her love and compassion for everything and everyone. She had an enormous generous heart and always sought out a way to make someone else’s day better. She loved to make people smile. Her faith in Christ was evident in her daily walk and her beautiful radiant personality.

Linda enjoyed painting, drawing and doing crafts with her grandkids when they would visit. Her passion for animals showed as her yard was filled daily with deer, squirrels, birds, groundhogs and an occasional bear. But, her favorite furry friend was her cat of about 12 years, Ebony.

Left behind to cherish Linda’s memory are her daughter Kim Holden of Sheffield, PA and Jerry Cataldo, Jr. of Harrisburg, PA. In addition, she is survived by her Sweetie of 10 years, Chuck Huckestein, one sister, Judy Gross and two brothers, Ronald and Donald Theiss. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Grandchildren include Elicia Johnson, Dillan Holden, Derek Holden, Kristy Holden, Dustin Holden, Cassidy Cataldo and Delaney Cataldo. She also had four great grandchildren. In addition, Linda had numerous nieces and nephews that were near and dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by one sister, Aileen Davidson and one brother, Gary Theiss.

Linda worked many jobs within the Warren County area, most notably at Longs, McMillan’s Lumber Mill and she finally retired from the United Refinery.

She will truly be missed by everyone that ever came in contact with her and remembered for her generous heart.

Linda’s family will welcome family and friends on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ruth Ann Varrato officiating. Committal and burial will follow at the Sheffield Cemetery.
