Lee Chamberlain Obituary

Lee A. Chamberlain, 87, of Sheffield passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, November 4, 2022, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center of Warren, Pennsylvania.  Lee was born on December 12, 1934 in Sheffield, Pennsylvania, the son of Arthur Wayne Chamberlain and Elizabeth P. Trenouth Chamberlain.  Lee attended Mansfield State College from 1952 to 1954 at which point he served in the United States Army in the 25th Army Division from 1954 to 1956 where he earned several distinctive medals.  He attended Indiana State College from 1958 to graduation in 1960.  He did Post Graduate studies from 1963 to 1965.  He began teaching Music and Band Instruction in 1960. During this time, he served in many capacities in several Local and National organizations.  He was heavily involved in many social organizations, including the Rotary Clubs of Tyrone and Sheffield where he held every office.  He also was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) from 1968 – 1994. Lee played band and organ in many capacities and had written a possible 114 musical arrangements for a number of organizations.  He had many hobbies among which he enjoyed boating on the lake, drawing, painting, and playing piano and organ music. 

 

Left behind to cherish Lee’s memory are his niece Bonnie Penn and her husband Mark of Natrona Heights and his nephew Robert Chamberlain and his wife Susan of Mt. Jewett.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Wayne Chamberlain.

 

There will be no visitation or services held at this time.  The burial will take place at the Sheffield Cemetery in Sheffield, Pennsylvania.  Lee’s family has entrusted the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield with final arrangements.  The family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to the Sheffield Rotary Club, P. O. Box 903, Sheffield, PA  16347.
