Larry J. Cable, 76, of Barnes, PA, Sheffield Township, passed away early Thursday morning October 17, 2024, at Warren General Hospital. He was born in Brookville, PA on November 27, 1947, the son of the late William Mayne Cable and Margaret Lucille (Crawford) Cable. After high school, he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War receiving the Bronze Star as well as other Medals.
Larry was a quiet man with an outstanding memory. He loved getting together with his family and dear friends. He liked to travel, lottery tickets and was an avid Nascar fan. His true passion was collecting, assembling, and displaying his model car collection. He also loved metal detecting and always tried to fit the owners of the lost items. Larry was a truck driver for many years, retiring from D & W trucking in Clarendon, PA.
Larry was a true friend to many and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone.
Left behind to cherish Larry’s memory are his lifelong friend and care giver Craig Hurd. His siblings, Pete, Karen, Esther, and Marilyn, as well as many friends. He is further survived by his faithful friend, his dog, Rudy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ronald Wayne Cable and his faithful dogs, Tootsie and Candy.
There will be no calling hours or services for Larry.
