John Talentinow, the 3rd, of Pittsfield, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Corry Manor in Corry, PA. He was born on July 6, 1955, in Holyoke, MA. He was preceded in death by his father, John Talentinow, the 2nd, and his mother, Joan Viola Fletcher.
He will be missed by his children, Nicole, Dawn, Amber, Mandy, Lucy and John the 4th, also his sisters, Ann, Mary, and Ellen, and brother Joel. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews, loving grandchildren, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
John loved fishing, catching a 22-inch Brown trout with a 14 inch girth! He was so proud of that. Then there was the time he forgot his door keys and used the extra key in his boot. Sometimes the patience wore thin and ordinary objects were transformed into small, unrecognizable pieces that were then swept up and disposed of, never to be seen again. (And thank your lucky stars that you are not a snake!)
He was a great mechanic and helped many out when they were stranded by the side of the road. John was a thoughtful, protective father, working hard at everything he did. Although he came on strong at times, he really cared for his family and gave them his all.
Special thanks go to his daughter, Lucy, and her friends Krystynn Barsness and Amber Waite for taking care of him during this tough time and to Jim and Joel for the stories, for there are many, many more.
There will be no calling hours or services observed. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Borden Funeral Home in Sheffield. To leave an online condolence for John Talentow, the 3rd, please visit www.bordenfuneralhome.com.
