John G. “Jack” Lindsey, 86, a lifelong resident of Saybrook, Sheffield, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday morning September 21, 2023, at Colonial Courtyard in Clearfield, PA with his loving family by his side.  He was born in Sheffield, PA on November 4, 1936, to Gerald Lindsey and Hazel (Greenawalt) Lindsey.  After attending school in Sheffield, Jack served his country with the Army National Guard followed by the Army Reserves.  He was protestant by faith and attended the Free Methodist Church as a child.  On July 20, 1956, he married the love of his life and his next-door neighbor, Lucille “Sis” Dunn in Russell, PA.  In 1960 he began working at the National Forge in Irvine, Pa as a laborer and retired in 1999 as a General Foreman.

John enjoyed the outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.  His favorite hobby was woodworking, and you could always find him in his garage working on something.  Many time, you could find Jack and his ”Lue” as he called her, sitting on the porch swing enjoying their time together with  Jack in his favorite blue plaid shirt.

Family was most important to Jack and he will be dearly missed by his children, Kathleen (Reed) Johnson, Clearfield, PA, Amy (Raymond Collins), Lindsey, Utica, NY and John A.
