Glendora (Punky) L McKnown

Glendora ” Punky “ Lorraine McKown, 72, a lifetime resident of Sheffield, PA passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Sena Kean Manor in Smethport. Punky was born on September 2, 1946, to Glenn W. Smead and Lorraina G. (Spicer) Slack.

Some of Punky’s favorite past times were she enjoyed reading, like to do crossword puzzles, and watching game shows, she often could be found enjoying a good lifetime movie. Even with her ongoing health problems, she always had a smile. Punky is survived by her husband of 57 years, Sherman R. (Dick) McKown; five children, Sherman (Craig) McKown of Virginia Beach, VA; Dennis (Scott) McKown of Sheffield, PA; Richard G. McKown of Warren, PA; Jodi K (Wilson) Lander of Erie, PA and Michael (Mike) T Mckown of Conroe, Tx. Punky is also survived by four siblings, Margaret (Peg) Derx, William Smead, Jeanie Smead all of Sheffield, PA and Mary Braughler of Warren, PA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Punky is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James E. Smead, and most recently her daughter in law Karen L. Mckown.

Punky’s family will welcome family and friends on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 11 am – 1 pm at the Warren Alliance Church, 278 Kinzua Road

Warren, PA 16365. Funeral Services will follow at 1 pm with Don Moore officiating. She will be laid to rest at Sheffield Cemetery.
