Charlotte Ann Cochran, 84, of Sheffield, PA. sadly passed away on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at Warren General Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Sheffield, PA on February 17, 1941, the daughter of the late Harry G. Wenker and Helen C (Young) Wenker.
Charlotte was a graduate of Sheffield High School. She was gainfully employed with well over 30 years of Government services, serving as Post Mistress of Sheffield Post Office.
Charlotte enjoyed vacationing with family at Disney World/ Orange Lake Resort in Florida, sitting on her back porch drinking her coffee, and watching true crime shows, as well as Hallmark Christmas movies. In the past, she also loved to take trips with “The Golden Girls” Crew: Carlene, Judy, and Carol. In recent years, Charlotte enjoyed just spending time at home with her family, including her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and “grand dogs”. She proudly wore the title “Gigi”.
Charlotte is also known for hosting her infamous annual “last day of school” parties for her grandchildren and their friends at her pool. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and treated them as if they were her own family. She also made sure everyone was fed, not once, but twice at least.
Charlotte will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family and the community of Sheffield.
Left behind to cherish Charlotte’s memory are her children and their spouses: Chris Cochran and wife, Susan, Connie Cochran-Barr and husband, Mike, both of Sheffield, and Stacey Donovan and husband, Pat, of Warren, PA. She will also be missed by her son-in-law, Randy Gillotti of Warren, PA. She will be missed greatly by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Savanna, Ashley, Alex, Wesley, Katie, Nate, Dawson, Jack, Tyler, and Abby.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cochran, her daughter Kimberli Gillotti, her brother, Richard Wenker, and her parents, Helen and Harry (Guy) Wenker.
Charlotte’s family will welcome friends on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4 PM to 7PM at the Borden Funeral Home, 203 West Main St., Sheffield, PA. Funeral services will take place at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Sheffield United Methodist Church, 11 West Main St., Sheffield, PA, with Pastor Ruth Ann Varotto presiding. Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be provided at the church, hosted by the ladies of the community churches. A private family committal and burial will follow at the Sheffield Cemetery.
The family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in Mrs. Cochran’s name to Paws Along the River, 212 Elm St., Warren, PA 16365.
