Bonnie J Shaffer

Bonnie J Shaffer age 87 of Sheffield passed away on Sunday April 14 at Warren General Hospital. She had lived in Sheffield for the past 63 yrs. She was born December 11, 1931. To the late Robert Samuel Miller and Laura Pearl Sloniger. Bonnie also known as Gram liked to cook, she enjoyed listening to Sunday morning Church Services. Her music of choice was country western, she also enjoyed dancing. But above all else she loved her family, Gram was always there for them. She is survived by her daughters Linda Leach of Warren, Darlene and Robbie Hart of Clarendon, Karen and Kevin Hancock of Corry. Her sons Bobbie Shaffer of Clarendon, Donnie Shaffer of Sheffield, Dave Shaffer of Youngsville, and Gary Shaffer of Sheffield. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 Great grandchildren, 2 Great Great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister Joann Butterworth of Punxy. She is preceded in death by 1 daughter Susan Shaffer, 1 granddaughter Heidi Wilson, and a brother David Miller. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday April 17 from 4pm – 7pm at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield. Private Family Services will be held at 7pm Wednesday with Pastor Douglas Brink of Sheffield United Methodist Church officiating. Private burial will take place Thursday at Barnes Cemetery.
