Anne Sadvary

Anne Marie Boholnick Sadvary, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022.  She was born in Ludlow, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Anastasia and Mitro Boholnick, who were longtime residents and business owners in Ludlow.  They were long time members of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, in Sheffield.  Anne was a lifelong devout Catholic.

Anne will be very much missed by her family, whom she loved very much, and scores of friends. She will be remembered as always being friendly, feisty, and a great cook! Anne made especially good homemade apple and cherry pies.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons: Daniel (Debra) and Thomas (Mary), three grandchildren: Kristyn Sadvary Walgren (Matthew), Christopher Sadvary, and Rachel Sadvary Zebro (Jordan), and five great grandchildren: Nicholas, Cameron, Joshua Walgren, Jack and Luke Zebro.  Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Mary and Olga, her brother John, and her husband, Edward. 

Anne will be fondly remembered also for her enjoyment of kittens, card games, watching daytime soaps, Johnny Carson, and visiting the casino.

A Divine Liturgy Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church on Monday, April 11, 2022, and 10:00 AM with Father David Bosnich as celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
