Stephanie Mauk Banovic, 66, of Sheffield, PA passed away peacefully Saturday morning April 8, 2023, with her loving family by her side at the Snyder Memorial Home in Marienville, PA.  Stephanie was born in Warren PA on October 14, 1956, the daughter of Phillip (Buster) Mauk & Janette (Shirley) Mauk.  She was a graduate of Sheffield High School and gained employment as a dental assistant.  She was a lifelong Sheffield area resident and was United Methodist by faith.  Stephanie enjoyed reading, watching TV and cooking.  Her favorite holiday was Easter, springtime, a time for new beginnings and she was welcomed into heaven this Easter season to start her new beginning.

Left behind to cherish Stephanie's memory are her husband George S. Banovic of Sheffield; her daughters: Molly Yates (Michael) of Washington, PA and Allison Moore of Warren, PA.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Eli, Isaac, and Otis Yates.  She was preceded in death by her parents Phillip (Buster) and Janette J. Mauk; two sisters: Charmaine Vavala and Rebecca Himmler and a niece Leanne Himmler.

There will be no public calling hours observed.  Private family visitation and services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield.  Services will be presided by Pastor Ruth Ann Varrato.  Private burial will take place at the Sheffield Cemetery.  Family respectfully requests that memorial donation be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.  To leave an online condolence for Stephanie, please visit www.bordenfuneralhome.com.
