Shannon M. Phinney, 83, a longtime Sheffield resident passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning February 5, 2024.  She was born in Warren, PA on August 20, 1940, the daughter of Gavin Madigan and Bernice (Magee) Madigan.  Shannon was a quiet lady who enjoyed watching the birds, particularly the cardinals.  Her favorite pastime was gardening, especially her flowers.  She enjoyed celebrating St. Patrick's Day and Halloween.  Shannon's family was so very important to her.

Left behind to cherish Shannon's memory are her loving husband David Phinney, at home; four children: Tim Phinney (Jan), Tammy Dietz (Robert), Terry Phinney (Rori) and Todd Phinney; her grandchildren: Dayle Phinney, David Phinney, Shane Dietz, Marc, Ashley, Cody, Tia, Brook, Amelia and several great grandchildren.  She is further survived by two brothers, Roger Madigan and Larry Madigan.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Arlene, and brothers: Danny, William, Jack, Clayton, Theodore, Tony, and Mike Madigan.
