Mr. John G. Eck, Sr., 69 of Miami, Florida and formerly of Barnes, Sheffield Township passed away peacefully in his Miami, FL home on November 15, 2022, with loving family members at his side.  John was born in Warren, PA on February 8, 1953, to Gordon Reed & Lucille Tootie Eck.  John was educated at Marienville Schools.  He then graduated from Penn State with a degree in Agriculture.

John spent his working years as a trucker and a member of the Teamster Union.  In his spare time, he had many interests including farming, painting, playing the piano, gardening, animals and lastly was considered a major foodie.  Family was important to John.

Left behind to cherish John's memory are his brother Ronald Eck, his children: John Michael Eck, Sandy Howard Blum, Michael Patrick Howard, Lisa Eck Arrieta, David Eck, John Eck, Jr., Matthew Eck, Stephen Eck, and Nathaniel Eck.  He is further survived by 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  John was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield.  Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield with Ruth Ann Varrato officiating. Burial will follow at the Barnes Cemetery.  The family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in John's memory to the Warren County Humane Society.
