John C. Michelson, age 65, of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully early Friday morning, October 30, 2026, at Kinzua Health Care in Warren, PA with his family by his side. John, also known as Jake by all that loved him, was born on May 13, 1961, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Eugene Michelson and Patricia (Carlson) Michelson. John grew up and attended schools in New York. He was employed by Chautauqua County as a mail courier.

John enjoyed family gatherings and going camping, but John’s passion was music. He was an accomplished musician, who could play many instruments such as the piano and the harmonica, his most favorite was the guitar. His God given talent would bring much joy and many smiles to his listeners.

Left behind to cherish John’s memory are his brothers, Steven R. (Carol) Michelson of Jamestown, NY and Eric L. (Karen) Michelson, of Buffalo, NY and his sister Kathy (Mark) Minnink of Springville, NY. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
