Denise Marie Peterson, 61, of Sheffield, PA passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning, February 25, 2024 at UPMC Kane Hospital, Kane PA.

She was born in Wintersville, Ohio on August 1, 1962, the daughter of Jerry (Sonny) Chmelovski and Ann Patricia (Gagliardi) Chmelovski.  Denise was a graduate of Warren High School.  She gained employment in home health care for many years.  She enjoyed attending local events in the summer months in Sheffield.  She liked motorcycle rides, cookouts, family gatherings, with Christmas being her favorite holiday.  She could also be found relaxing and knitting.  Above all else her husband, children and pet dogs were the love of her life.  She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Left behind to cherish Denise's memory are her husband David Peterson of Sheffield, her daughter Stephanie M. Berger and her fiancé Jeanine Trueman of Ebensburg, PA.  She is also survived by one brother Jay Chemlovski, one sister Melissa Chmelovski and two grandchildren Hemi and Starr Baran.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
