David Frank Slack, 68, of Warren, Pa, passed away on Monday morning, August 10, 2026, at Warren General Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1958, in Sheffield, PA the son of the late Elmer C. “Corky” Slack and Valjean F. Rudolph Slack.

David was a graduate of the Sheffield High School class of 1976, where he and his teammates still hold the 2-mile relay record. He for the Sheffield Municipal Authority, Pennzoil, and as a Deputy Game Warden for the PA Game Commission. David was an avid hunter and fisherman.

David is survived by his two children, David Slack and his partner John Wolf, of Erie, PA and Emily Heeter and her husband Mark, of Sheffield, PA, he is also survived by two granddaughters, Addisen and Peyton, two sisters, Debbie and Denise and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David is predeceased by two infant siblings, David and Diane.

There will be no services observed. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
