Darrell (Butch) Bloom, 86, of Clarendon, PA, formerly of Prospect and Evans City, Pa, in Butler County, passed away peacefully Friday evening June 5, 2026, at the Snyder Memorial Home in Marienville, Pa. He was born on May 31, 1940, in Connoquenessing Twp (Butler County) the son of the late Floyd Bloom and Betty (McMillen) Bloom.

In Darrell’s earlier years he was a diesel mechanic. He owned his own repair garage, as well as his own truck, hauling for numerous people and various loads. He was protestant by faith. He retired from 422 Auto Auction in Butler County. He thoroughly enjoyed going to auto and NASCAR races. He was a humble man who enjoyed going out to eat and take rides with his faithful wife, Carol.

Left behind to cherish Darrell’s memory are his wife Carol (Tyson) Bloom, at home, one son, Thomas (Dee) Bloom, two daughters, Karen (Terry) Cunningham and Becky (Darren) Kaelin and twelve grandchildren. He is also survived by many good friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a daughter.

A graveside inurnment service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the Mount Nebo Presbyterian Church Cemetery,1236 Prospect Road, Prospect, PA 16052 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jason Sinagra of the Prospect Presbyterian Church, presiding. A luncheon will follow at the Prospect Presbyterian Church, 115 Church St, Prospect, PA 16052. Memorial donations in Darrell’s memory can be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evens City Road, Renfrew, Pa 16053 or the Paws Along the River Humane Society, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.
