Anna Juban, 102, a 98 year resident of Ludlow, PA passed away peacefully Sunday evening, August 22, 2021 at the Lutheran Home of Kane. She was born November 22, 1918, in Sheffield. The daughter of Ukrainian immigrants, John Juban. Sr. and Eva (Molodij) Juban, she worked for the Ludlow Tannery and the Shirt Factory as well as Holgate's in Kane. She retired in 1984 after 32 years at the former New Process Company in Warren.
Anna was a lifelong member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Sheffield. She had the distinguished honor of being the oldest member of the church. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society as well as a member of St. John Ukrainian Lodge. In the Ludlow community she was a member of the Ludlow Wildcat Park Auxiliary. She enjoyed socializing with her Ludlow friends, belonging to two different clubs and also going on trips.
Left behind to cherish Anna's memory are her brother John Juban of Ludlow and a sister, Irene (Robert) Goldthwaite of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, as well as her nieces and nephews, Tom, Dan (Charlotte) Cuthbertson, Carol (Jim) Vinca, Patricia(Mike) Cuthbertson, Nick, John Jubon, Ron (Julie) Jubon and Denise Jubon. She is further survived by eight great nieces and nephews and four great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Eva Juban, her brothers Nicholas (Rita) and George, her sisters Catherine and Mary (Robert) Cuthbertson and her niece Jennifer Juban Sias.
Anna's family will welcome family and friends on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Borden Funeral Home of Sheffield. The funeral of Divine Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church of Sheffield with Father David Bosnich as celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Michael's Cemetery.
