Angeline (Angie) Young, 97, a lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh and Sharpsburg areas, passed away peacefully on Saturday afternoon, April 16, 2022, at the Norbert Personal Care Home, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her loving family by her side. Angeline was born in Pittsburgh on January 10, 1925, the daughter of the late Domenico and Mary (Gurgiolo) Occhipinti. Angeline was Roman Catholic by faith and was a faithful member of the Christ the King Parish. She married the love of her life Robert A. Affectionally known as Aunt Angie, not only by family but by anyone she may have come in contact with, she had a heart of gold. She loved to prepare Italian meals and baked goods. She would share with everyone, especially her family and always made sure that everyone had plenty to eat. She enjoyed dancing and really enjoyed going to the Society 5th Division Army Units of World War II gatherings that were held. Aunt Angie will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her, especially her loving daughter, Nancy and her entire family. May she rest in peace.
Left behind to cherish Angeline’s memory are her daughter Nancy Mueller and her husband William of Pittsburgh; loving Aunt of Rosemary, Sammy, Angela and Paul; loving Great Aunt of Jimmy and Betty, Danielle (late Brian), loving Great Great Aunt of Seth, Samara, Madison, Isabella, Gabby and Layla. She is further survived by Toby, Lucy and Ziggy to whom she was Furgrandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Samuel Occhipinti, and one sister, Irene Paonessa.
